This skills needs analysis has been developed as a generic approach towards starting to identify the skills you need for most careers and job roles. Once you have run through this exercise you can start to identify some obvious areas for personal development and growth and others where you might need to do a bit of work to get up to speed such as your IT or digital skills.

The skills analysis looks at the general skills you need for most work and job roles. You may however still wish to examine your skillset in more detail if you have a specific profession in mind where you should be able to find examples of these in job descriptions or specifications via an internet search.
